Via San Gallo is located in the Piazza Indipendenza, Piazza San Marco area. We are not too far from the train station and all the major sites. This is also a nice, well-known residential area of the Florence city centre. Reaching the major sites, including the Duomo, will be a matter of minutes; walking down Via San Gallo and reaching Via Ginori you will be magically in front of the Duomo. If you wish to visit the Galleria dell' Accademia, where the David is, you will be right next door. The area is very quiet both during the day time and at night.
